Nokia introduced today it’s take on the laptop/netbook, called Booklet 3G. It will come with a high resolution 10.1 inch display, 3G wireless, integrated A-GPS, HDMI output and 12 hours of battery life. Well not quite all. AlertThingy is now a real Twitter client, all the updates are displayed in a single window and they hide the duplicate Twitter messages that appear from FriendFeed. Also they added simple Flickr upload. Simple but very useful. And you can use TinyURL directly. A really nice touch is that after a photo is uploaded to Flickr the app automatically generates a TinyURL for that image file.
When I fist saw the new version I wasn’t impressed but after playing a bit with it I was hooked.
So go download the new version here. Or you can update automatically if you have AlertThingy already installed.
Yeap! It’s true, after AlertThingy added support for Twitter, today Twhirl added FriendFeed support. It will be available in version 0.8 but you can test it right now if you download the twhirl 0.7.9 from here.
Loic Le Meur has made a short video demonstrating the new features.
For those addicted to FriendFeed here comes a desktop client: AlertThingy. It’s an Adobe Air app and it has become a must have on my computer. This and twhirl – one of the the best twitter clients out there.
P.S. Abobe also launched a couple of days ago the alpha version of Air for Linux.
